Decided to make a trip this past Sunday even though I was concerned the boat traffic was going to get out of hand with all of the striper fever going on. The game plan was to leave the dock and head straight for the tip of the hook. When we first arrived there was only a hand full of boats and for the next 2 hours we had an incredible troll bite with about 30 fish up to 30+ pounds. By the time we were getting ready to leave there was probably 100+ boats and the weather was deteriorating rapidly so I'm definitely happy we got in and out early like we did. Starting this week coming up I will be searching other spots further out in the bay in search of a fish 50+ pounds since May is the best time to make that happen. All fish caught on Sunday were on chartreuse and white tandem mojos and a chartreuse spinner shad umbrella rig.
